At Milan Fashion Week this September, Prada presented its new Spring/ Summer 2027 collection, and the main focus was on the skirt. If you have been following Prada, you already know: it has always been about the skirt- from guests arriving at the show, to the runway and the re-sees! To be honest, no one makes skirts like Miuccia Prada! The structure, the clever details, the mix of fabrics… There is always an element of surprise hiding behind it! Why the skirt? Skirts are wonderfully versatile and easy to wear. Even the most elegant, elaborate or sophisticated style can be dressed down with a simple t-shirt or a button-down (white, or sky blue for that immediate Italian feeling)… Add a pair of flats, sandals, or heels, and just like that… the skirt becomes the outfit! No overthinking, no complicated formulas. After years of jeans and sweatpants, it’s time we give the skirt its moment again!
