Animal print is still trending… although at this point, it’s fair to say it has officially become fashion’s hottest neutral. Wear it with denim, metallics, colors, or simply on is own- anything you want! You could even mix it with different prints or mix different animal prints together, such as leopard with zebra. Somehow, it still works. In New York though, celebrity hairstylist Orlando Pita took the animal print somewhere entirely unexpected: the hair of course! At LaQuan Smith’s New York Fashion Week show, Pita created 4 bold hairstyles: a sculptural French twist, a voluminous blowout, a short slicked-back look, and leopard print hair! Orlando tells Glamouria: “The idea to do animal print came from the prints in the collection. The effect was achieved with water base hair paint that was applied freehand with a paint brush.” Rather than referencing the collection, the hair became an extension of it, and that is the genius of Orlando Pita. Just when you think you have seen everything hair can do, he delivers something new, bold and sophisticated.
