Is that Demi Moore? Yes! Demi opened the FENDI COUTURE Show for Spring Summer 2021. Bella Hadid, Christy Turlington, Kate Moss, Lila Moss, Naomi Campbell, Delfina Fendi, and Leonetta Fendi graced the show too. This is Kim Jones' debut for the Italian fashion house, who presented a collection that is an intense fusion of history and art, with an androgynous, gender blurring vision. Kim Jones drew his inspirations from the Bloomsbury Group, with many hints to the intellectual and artistic feels of the era, "explored alongside the eternal language of Italian sculpture and the Fendi's everlasting house codes."
Fendi Couture Spring Summer 2021 was rich in opulent embroideries and flowing transparencies: Silk gowns embroidered with organza flowers and crystal beads, lace and macramé gowns, taffeta suits with capes, designs adorned with sculptural flower appliqués….
The collection featured metal and organza pochettes and a few precious silk and mother-of-pearl minaudières, one of which transcribed with a Virginia Wolf's quote.
The hair portrayed rain-soaked models caught in a thunderstorm, bejeweled with Venetian glass accessories designed by Fendi's Jewelry Creative Director Delfina Delettrez Fendi. Delfina created an accessories collection crafted from Murano glass, including chandelier earrings, ear cuffs, and hairpieces.
