When my friend registered me for Tony Robbins Unleash The Power Within, I was very excited to join the experience, but little did I know about all the energy and the tears involved. Four full days, sometimes past midnight, with over 60,000 people from all over the world. Is it a life-changing experience? I think so… or at least it changes the way you look at life. There are so many lessons to learn and I made sure to take notes as usual, but here are 10 realisations I had during the process.

1. We aren’t alone. So many people are struggling with something no matter how old or young they are, no matter how successful, how pretty, or fit….

2. We have the power to connect together on the deepest level. We need this connection as humans, but for some reason we are very reserved and we don’t open up easily. As a result, we struggle in fear and isolation, and sometimes shame.

3. When you see what other people are struggling with you suddenly feel that your problems are irrelevant compared to worse things that could be happening.

4. We have to take time to sit with ourselves and reflect. Learn how to put ourselves in peak state and focus. Are we being true to ourselves? Are we growing?

5. We have stopped to listen to our heart. We spend most of the time worrying and trying to solve problems. Stop. Put your hand on your heart and connect with your inner self.

6. We take care of family and business but we forget to take care of ourselves. Put yourself as a priority. You will be a better person for yourself and the people around you.

7. Being able to survive with lower standards does not mean you have to! Raise your standards and keep them up. Never settle. 

8. We might think that we don’t have fears, but we all do. It’s human. We have to face our fears and realise that they are stupid and irrational, and many times they don’t even make any sense. Once we learn how to quiet them and choose the voice we want to hear, we will be unstoppable. 

9. There are so many stuck emotions that we carry and we don’t realise it or we don’t know how to let it out. Breathing properly and taking time to meditate are the first steps to healing. 

10. There is nothing like starting our day with being grateful and feeling it. Priming ourselves in the morning is very important. It doesn’t solve our problems but we will start reacting to them in a wiser way. Gift yourself this daily practice.
